MemberUWSP’s men look pretty strong while UW-LaCrosse’s women look stronger than they have since they lost the class of 2005. It will definately be a good conf. meet this year.
Point’s male sprinters seem to be getting the job done this year. Chase Gross already 20.0 relay is impressive in a dungeon of a pool at WIAC Relays this past weekend. Seems like the women sprinters, which have historically been strong at Point, are struggling with the graduation of Crook and Crunstedt.

MemberI can’t believe how good the Point’s men were looking at Wheaton. Very impressive. I should watched some practices when I was there for homecoming. I am going to try to get up there for the Invite.

Memberno kidding, the Point men were very impressive at Wheaton! Chase Gross 19.99 relay split..dang that guy is fun to watch. And Willy Clapp? Someone throw some water on him cuz he is on FIRE!! Even though the men were impressive and have a lot of studs, it was really fun to see the Point women have some phenomenal swims. Seems like they were searching for some identity since loosing all of last year’s 200 Free Relay and they had some girls step up big time. Some of those freshmen will be people to look out for in a year or two. There’s definately some talent in Point. I just hope it’s enough to take down UW-LaCrosse at Conference.

MemberI am coming up for the duel meet next weekend. Have seen a real meet in a bunch of years now. I don’t include the Alumni meet from last fall. Looking forward to some good swims between Point and UW-La Crosse.

MemberWell it looks like the excitement has started, I wish it would update events in real-time, but thats alright, the suspense is better this way.

[1] Actually real-time updates would be sweet – but probably beyond the technology.
[2] A little underwhelmed by the times last night – hardly anything to add to the national times database. -

Memberjust wondering, why didn’t Chase Gross swim the 100 fly at the conference meet? It looks like that was his premier event, especially seeing as he is in the top 2 or 3 in the nation. Any reasons?

Memberbefore gross was put into the lineup- point was seeded 1, 2, 3 in the 100 fly and 2, 5, 8 in the 100 back. it was a team move for gross to swim the 100 back. he’ll steez a solid 100 fly in oxford.

MemberI know ever one on the National forum is talking about the 50 record. I just wanted to give Chase a little love here. Great swim!!!!! As a old 50 guy(and UWSP alum) I think 20.38 is great. Good luck with the rest of the meet.
