MemberI glanced over the NECAC top times and found 5 men and 5 women swimmers who appear at or near the the top of the list for more than 3 events? Which events do you think each will swim?
Men:
Millen Williams
Scott Williams
Spinelli Wiliams
Byers Wesleyan
Treat AmherstI am really interested in how Coach Kuster uses Millen, Scott and Spinelli. Williams is such a favorite, he might have these three guns swim their best events which means they will be competing against each other. If it were closer, he might spread them out in an attempt to win more events.
Women:
Norsworthy Colby
Sasser Amherst
Stern Amherst
Ross Midllebury
Nicholson WilliamsThe interesting choice here will be the 200 IM. Four of the above 5 women [no Stern] could pick this as their Friday event. Stern, most lilely, will be in the 500 free. Two years ago, Ross and Sasser ended up in a dead heat in the 200 IM championship race. Will we see a rematch?

MemberI don’t think Williams will have trouble winning the meet, but I’m thinking:
Scott will swim the fly events, but maybe get a third event at nationals?
Spinelli will go 200, 500, 1650.
Byers will go 500, 1000, 1650.
Treat will go 200 IM, 400 IM, 200 Fly.Millen is the only one that I have no idea about. As for the four listed, that’s pretty much what they’ve swum every year.
I don’t know much with respect to the women, except that Kelly is a baller.

MemberI would think it would be safe to say that Millen probably swims the 200 fly. I am not sure about his other events. Maybe 200 free, and the 500 free. Those are guesses, but I would bet on the 200 fly.

MemberOn the women’s side, I suspect Sasser will swim the 100 back, 200 back and 200 IM. Since Middlebury will be in a battle with Williams for the title, I suspect that Ross might swim all three fly events to ensure 3 wins for Middlebury. Nicholson will probably swim the 100 back, 200 back and 400 IM. Stern, the 100 , 200 and 500 Free. Norsworthy might swim the 200 IM rather than 50 breast in addition to 100 and 200 breast events, but I think she will go for three sure wins. ]Griz and Colbybr have convinced me to expect a great post-season from her.]
Look for Nicholson and Ross to sign up for 4-5 individual events on the psyche sheet and commit to their final three at the meet.
Which of these women have the chance to set new NESCAC championship records in their events?
My predictions:
Nicholson in the 400 IM, if her openinig fly leg improves.
Sasser in the 100 back on the opening leg of the 400 medley relay.
Ross in the 200 fly.I don’t think there will be that many records set this year. Tuft’s Swett has a good chance to make history in both diving events.

MemberPsych sheet is available for women’s championship at Williams:
http://www.pjmm.net/results/nescacw07/psych-sheet.doc
Sasser signed up for 100 back, 200 back and 200 IM
Stern signed up for 100, 200, and 500 free
Norsworthy 50, 100, and 200 breast and 200 IM
Ross 50, 100, 200 fly and 200 IM
Nicholson, 200 back, 200 IM, 400 IM and 500 FreeNorsworthy, Ross and Nicholson are both signed up for two events on Day 1. Each have entered the 200 IM. Will any of the three remain there or will they swim their other event. I suspect that Nicholson will remain in the 200 IM because the 500 free is so crowded. Norsworthy might remain also because the 50 breast is not swum at nationals. Ross might swim in the 50 fly to ensure the 32 points for Middlebury, because I don’t think there will be more than 50 points separating Middlebury and Williams at the end of the meet.

Membernescacfan i was just poking fun at griz. You haven’t figured out what team he is affiliated with yet? My name makes it more obvious. As for some stud picks, I look for Marika Ross to possibly make a comeback in the 200 IM. Remember 2 years ago when her and sasser tied with 2:04s?
