so iv’e heard a rumor that westby went pretty fast in his 200 fly, 1:58. but his last 50 was a 36.
with that said i was wondering if anyone had a video of it, i think it might be pretty entertaining to watch, and good to know he actually is human.

He also went a 2:10 in his 200 Breast, which I assume went a bit better. Wonder if he’ll start swimming either of these. Probably not, but it might be fun to watch.

I am surprised that he did not pace that 200 fly a little better. He swims his races pretty intelligently.

Who cares what his time was, he won, that’s all that matters in a duel meet.

True, I’ll give you that. But for someone who competes at level Westby does, you’d think that he would’ve been a little smarter about how he swam it. He took it out like he was doing a 50 in the med relay!

Hey I give mad props to a guy who can go balls out like that and still have the cahones to finish the race.

I saw Zelen go like a 2:20 in the 200 fly his freshman year. It was pretty comical. I think he did the last 50 in like 45 seconds and actually got some sympathy claps from the crowd.

He should have swam it nude. From what I understand Yasmin Bleeth is totally down with nude butterfly…and snorting coke in the backseat of a Buick.

No offense to Westby, but for a 56 breaststroker tapered, 57 in-season, a 2:10 in the 2 breast isn’t amazing. Luke Prokop from SJU was a 57. hundred breaststroker (tapered) who was a 2:02 two hundred breaststroker (tapered again) to put that in perspective. And with how he dominates his current three events, I find it unlikely that he will be in the 200 breast or 200 fly although it would be interesting to watch.

No there is probably no way he swims the 200 breast, and I am little surprised at the time. I look at the way he swims that 200 IM, so I would think fully rested he could go 2:02 in the 200 breast, but who knows.

Nelson Westby will not swim anything over 100 yards in the MIAC championships because he is afraid of Skylar Davis.

Nelson Westby will swim, and most likely win, the events he swims. I’m going with 1 breast, 2 im, and 1 fly.

I think you should get a hold of Davis somehow and confess your love to him. Then maybe catch a flight to one of those cities that could recognize your marriage?

Given the time of the above post, I’m going to give iSwim the benefit of the doubt and hope that he was drunk. Otherwise I have no choice but to assume that he is autistic, and his brain cannot grasp any concept that is not purely literal. i.e humor, sarcasm, satire etc. I don’t mean this as a personal attack, I just think you should get that checked. Furthermore, if Mac or Chapel were to go to Massachusetts with anyone, it would obviously be with Assistant to the Head Coach, Andy Hagen.

I thought it was pretty clear that my post was a sarcastic comment, but I may have been wrong. Next time I’ll make sure to include the winky emoticon in my post.

Good call on taking Hagen, however. He’s so outdoorsy. Like a big, huggable Lumberjack.
