MemberI watched the wcsn.com webcast of the 2006 ConocoPhillips National Championships last night and I was very impressed. The quality was pretty good, very smooth for the most part, although it got a little choppy at times. This could have been caused by my slow computer, however. Craig Hummer was doing play by play with Rowdy Gaines doing the color commentary, as usual. They had graphics, interviews, everything you could expect from a normal television broadcast, but with fewer commercials. Plus, it’s free, although I think they are going to charge for these types of events in the future. As someone who wishes there was a lot more swimming on TV, I thought it was great. They are going to do it again Friday night and Saturday night, so check it out if you’re interested. Just go to wcsn.com
Did anyone else watch it last night?

I watched it too… but you already knew that Vic. I loved it and did see where you could sign up for future events. Depending on price, however, i may be willing in order to see big events like Worlds.

MemberIt was dope. An idea whose time has come.
One observation I had is that USA Swimming doesn’t run as smooth a show as the NCAA. Did anybody else notice how many people were late to awards, or absent altogether? I expect they’ll get their act together. It does not pay off to have your top athletes looking indifferent.
