MemberThis is just a simple list of the fastest incoming freshman in each event this year. It will be interesting to see how they all do. Please update my list where errors are and feel free to comment. I did not include conversions, it would have changed the 400 IM and 200 fly is all I know for sure, but didn’t feel it was fair.

MemberIs that 1:51 plus for Kyle Drake converted from LCM? Or did he go that time at some point last year?

MemberI wish he was a 1:51, but think he was just 1:53-low at Senior Champs last spring. Whatever the Junior cut was, he was a whisker under it.

Also, Whitaker Davis will come into college with approximately the same time as his All-American bro, somewhere in the 16:20’s.
I expect good things to come from this kid over the next 4 years. As the third Davis to swim for Gustavus, he has a lot to live to up to. If he got the distance gene like the two before him, then Gustavus should have a very solid distance team this coming season.

Membertheres a difference from a converted 151 and a 153. im sure if his long course is significantly more impressive, then he has crappy walls. i would be surprised if hes under 152.5.

MemberWell here is why I think he goes at least 1:51. Greg has experience with 200 backstrokers. When Nate Chapman was there I believe he came in going 1:57 plus and went 1:53.7 by the end of his freshmen year. Now I know that is just one guy, but all the freshmen there drop a lot of time, so 1:51 mid is my call if not a little faster.
