Again, I’ve had my posts deleted by Rustie “Trombone” Gustie. Mac of the MIAC is not “facilitating positive discussion about Division 3 swimming”.

Now, in addition to deleting my posts, Rustie Trombone is now posting creepy messages into my inbox. I’m all for having a little fun, but I don’t want some guy who spits when he talks stalking me on my second favorite forum.

    • #40770

I think Rustie’s hands are tied by the powers that be. He even commented that the poll you had on Olaf was a good one.

I think we should be asking whether or not Derek, or whoever else runs this site hates freedom.

I’d like to kick down a little knowledge my forefathers kicked down to me… it goes: Don’t Tread On Me! And right now the D3 regulators are treading all over me (well, actually just Mac).

      Mac,

I deleted a post of yours some time ago based on my own feelings. This time, I asked the people above me what to do and simply followed their direction. Your most recent postings have all been handled at their discretion, not mine.

Furthermore, I stand by what I said. You’ve made a lot of good contributions to this forum in the form of your threads about the MIAC score outlook, the Olympic trials, the fantasy draft, and so on just to name a few; but making a post that eventually degrades into other posters calling out people by name needs to go. As Chapel pointed out, I let your original post and the discussion go way past where I was comfortable, even though I did not approve, so as not to step on your toes again.

I apologize that you don’t like me, Mac, but there’s nothing I can do about it. The people above me want a certain kind of forum run here, and you occasionally step outside the box with some of your posts. If you look into the MIAA forum (which is by far the most popular forum on the site) they find a way to keep the discussion alive during slow times without being disrespectful to other individuals, teams, or moderators.

Its true, this is their site and they have certain rules they want followed (most of them are set in place to be respectful, which I agree with). Mac, if you want to post whatever you want, start your own site or or go onto Imus’s (sp?) radio show.

Who says that I don’t like you? I told you not to delete or edit my posts anymore, you did, now I’m firing back. It’s all a fun game for me. Don’t take it personally. If I had some more time today, I’d probably be all out, posting threads on Alleghany Mountain Conference trying to get you ousted.

When conference rolls around, I’ll happily chat with you, or sign an autograph. Just because you act like a home schooled pansy on a message board, doesn’t mean that you suck in real life. I have no idea who you are. You could be some rad dude who still skateboards, or is in a band for all I know.

God, you’re kind of right. This is a first for you (in both real life, and online). Point taken.

Though I will also note that you are not fully correct. The thread was not deleted for anything that I wrote, rather for others posting actual names and calling them dicks. Mac of the MIAC was playing within the rules.

What are you going to take you ball home because you’re losing? If you’re that emotionally wrapped up in a D3 swimming forum and you’re worried about the integrity of the site, you might want to shut off your computer, get out of your pj’s and get a little sun because, you, my friend, are a hermit. Either that or face the fact you might be crying yourself to sleep a few nights a week. You know what kids were calling each other back in elementary school and it was much worse then anything I’ve read on this forum.

Buck up, little fella. If you need a hug, I’m sure your mom can give you one when you go home for Thanksgiving. She can also wipe away your tears and wash your pillow case.

I’m confused Keith… are you talking to Mac, Rustie Trombonezy, Act, me, or all of the above?

I’ve missed you Keith. Where were you when I ripped on underwater dolphin kick in the breast stroke? You might have been a 58 100 guy with todays rules.

Better be careful, Derek was homeschooled and is a pansy… well, the 1st part is true anyway… jury is still out on the 2nd one… much like the jury is out on OJ’s guilt in stealing sports memorabilia.

The Rezzy Trombezzy. Censorship is a tool of the Man. Next thing you know Rusty Trombone is going to have a wire tap on his Mom and turn her over to the Man for the “J” she smoked in college… Even after the hugs.

    • #40779

I fully support wire-taps. It is the only way I know your moms aren’t cheating on me.

But was he the home schooled valadictorian?

Due to the overwhelming show of support for Duck’s hair, he has been awarded moderator status of this forum… as hair is as worthy a character trait as any other, at least on the internet. Yes, this means his hair is better than Mac’s.

Also, since the15mmark admittedly doesn’t check the site very often, it would be silly for him to be a moderator. He did nothing wrong to lose the status however.

Where did 15mmark go? Has law school consumed him?

    • #40784

Who is Duck? Is he some corporate fat cat brought in to make sure Mac stays in line?

I’d never seen Duck post here before yesterday (at least not that I remember), but I see he has like 500+ posts. I’m assuming he posts nationally, or in the MIAA, or for the Home Schooled Swim League.

Please send out Duck’s bio… where he swam, what he swam, his stance on LCM v SCY training, the importance of nationals v conference, if he knows Reid Foster, and whether he thinks Westby is the best, or just really good.

How can Mac become a moderator? I’ll nominate him, and vouch for his character, if need be.

I agree with the notion of Mac being a moderator. He facilitates discussion and brings up interesting topics instead of the same old Westby talk. Not to mention the fact that he is the MAC of our fantasy league and posts all of that information. Yes, he’s posted some borderline topics and comments but I believe he knows the boundaries.

In fact, he showed an admirable amount of restraint in not piling on Rustie Gustie the other day for deleting his posts and being creepy. I’m sure he wanted to go in with guns blazing but he really didn’t. We’re not keen on outsiders and we fear change. Perhaps introspection is needed so that we can accept Duck as our leader. Or, we can campaign for OUR fearless leader.

Good gracious, where to begin? I am not who I am, I am not this bag of water, this material doll. I am human, I am a child of God, and I will be immortal, with the Almighty’s help. For whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but instead have eternal life. How could any soul spurn such an offer?

As it turns out, many millions could indeed spurn such an offer. Led astray by the many, many teachers of iniquity who inhabit schools and shelves. What can be done against such as these? As it turns out, a great deal can be done to reverse their outrages.

Why I chose to speak out and make my presence here felt?
To bear witness to all that with sorrow I perceive in this the vale of sorrows, the vale of tears. To discuss with fellows the few weighty things of this world, which are forgotten in the mighty rush towards materialism, towards socialism, towards soul death and the Abyss.

To be a tool for justice and good, to be one shrill piping voice of reason in the whirlwind of empty verbiage, the unreasoning thunderstorm of political correctness, to point one mighty and dreadful finger of accusation at the chattering classes who are destroying this my native land, my globe, this Earth.

      Terrible.

Who approved Noam Chomsky as our moderator?

In response to Duck, I present you with this equally confusing aggregation of, mostly English, words.

Thus the earlier discussion of deviance is not quite equivalent to a corpus of utterance tokens upon which conformity has been defined by the paired utterance test. Comparing these examples with their parasitic gap counterparts in wonderboy and Duck’s respective posts, we see that the fundamental error of regarding functional notions as categorial is necessary to impose an interpretation on the system of base rules exclusive of the lexicon. However, this assumption is not correct, since a case of semigrammaticalness of a different sort is not to be considered in determining a parasitic gap construction.

You guys and your big words.

You all have an obvious bias. What do the constituents of the forum think? Oh wait, they only look at the posts and never reply. Three hundred some views and only 18 replies. In other words, your big fancy paragraphs fall on deaf ears and muter fingers.

That being said, I agree that Mac should be moderator. He has a crackberry, after all, and will make sure the posts are kosher. Kosher as Christmas.

Just so that my credentials are never questioned again:

I have read Garrison Keillor and watched Fargo, and thus know of the daily life and struggles of your quaint state. Minnesota, Ye land of Spam, Lutefisk, Post-it notes, The Artist Formerly Known as Prince, Zubaz and universal health coverage for gender reassignment surgery: You have my humble services.

I don’t like this one bit. I’d bet my left that Duck wears a “wacky” joker/elf hat in the Winter, rides a unicycle to Ultimate Frisbee practice in Summer and plays Magic always. How’s the juggling coming along?

      Cabbage, buy a head!

To set the record straight, Mac of the MIAC* does not want to be a moderator. Mac of the MIAC wants our now, and future moderators to understand that he is not dull enough to post something that legitimately needs to be deleted. Mac of the MIAC will not degrade real people. Mac of the MIAC needs the moderator to understand that critisism is occasionally an essential tool in understanding an issue. Mac of the MIAC thinks Westby is a super swimmer, but Mac of the MIAC thinks that there are other more meaningful, or at least more entertaining things to discuss. Mac of the MIAC does not want anyone editing his body of work. Mac of the MIAC thinks that if you can say it on TV during prime time, that you can probably write it in a forum with a decidedly 22-30 demographic.

      * Yes, I am writing in the third person, now. It feels pretty good. Sort of like a manifesto.
