MemberLet’s put the spotlight back on the NESCAC women. Who of the following NESCAC swimmers is most likely to win an individual event at Nationals?
Nicholson
Norsworthy
Ross
I am a big fan of these three swimmers. If Norsworthy had a full season under her belt, I would put my money on her in one of the breat events. Ross will be in the mix for the 200 fly, but the 200 flyers are really strong this year. My vote for most likely is Nicholson, who is going to surprise Orstein in the 400 IM. I do hope all three win.

Very unlikely that all three win but I do agree that Nicholson has the best shot in the 400 IM. I’d rank Norworthy as second and Ross, too bad that this is a tough year for her event as third. Still I do think the 200 fly race will be one of the better ones next week.

MemberAny chance Nicholson takes a run at Petrock’s nat record in the 4 IM?

MemberNicholson’s fly is her weakest stroke. If she completes the fly leg in 1:04 or under, the record is in jeopardy. She really closes fast. I don’t know how rested she was for NESCAC’s, but I am confident she will break 4:25, but 4:23.30 is another matter. My concern is that Nicholson might push Orstein in the final leg to swim a fast 100 free. If that happens, Orstein, not Nicholson, will break the record. Orstein is quite the competitor.

MemberI sure missed this one. Ross won two events–matching Sasser’s number of individual wins. Congrats to Marika. Her fly events were loaded and she prevailed.
