Memberrelax…this is about as gender friendly discussion forum as what i’ve ever seen…if you think this is bad, try collegeswimming.com. I mean there’s an enitre thread devoted to women’s recruits.

MemberHow about, “Women are just as welcome but don’t post.com”
OR
“Women are mistreated in many ways but I will trivialize the issue by complaining about something inconsequential.com”
OR
“Men talk about men’s swimming because they are more perosnally familiar with the subject matter.com”

MemberWithout being rude, I would like to suggest that you explore the discussions that have taken course in relation to women’s swimming. I am not perfect, but it has been my intention to create as equal an atmosphere as possible. I do not need to tout myself as a great defender of women’s rights (it would be stretching the truth quite a bit), but I do believe that when the situation presents itself, I have done what I can to correct the “feel” of this message board. Granted, this message board and even the website has more information about men’s swimming, but that can be accounted for by two things:
1. Men started this site. The women I tried to recruit to help were not interested, resulting in less information compiled for and by women. (There is more information about women’s swimming forthcoming, in fact, as soon as I have time there is an email with a whole bunch of times for me to enter in the database.)
2. Mostly men visit this site. The women that visit have been less vocal. Instead of complaining that this website is dominated by men, why don’t you do what many of the people who post on here have already done, and tell women swimmers about us? There are plenty of people here who would love to engage in a discussion about women’s swimming, but have little impetus to do so.Welcome to d3swimming.com. And no, we are not going to change the name.

thats just ridiculous. you cant have spaces in website names.
well done. clearly a ridiculous statement. pshhh. spaces…..
however, in all seriousness; i think if there is a name change it should be to get rid of diving in the title, though it is not in the url, it shouldnt be in the title either. stupid diving.
