First round of conferences is down, what do we think? What events are faster than last year, which are slower?

I think 100 free looks way faster this year. Last year 46.3 went, this year that is already on the outside. 50 free should be sub-21. 200 free is tough to tell, will Newton and Kenton Drake swim it? Can you enter more than three events and scratch at the meet? If they can’t that may make it comparable to last year’s cut.

200 breast looks tougher than 100 breast, while 100 fly looks tougher than 200 fly.

Who are the beasts that are still out there? MIAC, NESCAC, JHU still to come. What others am I missing?

I’m a relative newbie to all of this, so I am interested in what all the experts think. I first got hooked on this site last year at this time checking daily for all the analysis.

50 Free will be 20.90 out 20.89 in

      100 Free: under 46.2

      200 Free Relay 1:23.6 (maybe)

200 breast – 207 high, someone is already at 207.7 and i think he will be the cut.

100 breast- its wicked tight this time ’round. im feeling a 58.mid just wont cut it and it will have to be 58.0 or even 57 high.

200 IM- it looks like 154 mid will be close.

all these qual times are definitely the ones that got faster.

The 100 breast QT has been below 58 for two years. It’ll be the same story this year.

Yeah it will def be about 20.9 in the 50. That is crazy, considering in 04 we only had like 3 guys go under 21 at the actual meet.
