Anyone have any insight into the Middlebury men’s team. After the sudden, disappointing end to their season last year, are there many members of the team back for this year? Was the loss of training (if there was any) a setback? Will they return to their form from two years ago?

This should be Rob Collier’s (1:51.72 200 IM, 4:12.01 400 IM, 2005), and Tim Lux’s (57.66 100 breast, 2005) senior year. In 2005 the had a great 400 MR, but two of the guys on that were seniors. Did they add anyone to help those guys that didn’t get a chance to completely shine last year or as a new recruit this year?

I believe the team has most of its members back from last year. I do know that they only got 4 freshmen all of which were ED applicants before the season was cancelled. They should have around 20 guys this year.

They also have some sophomores that did not get to experience their first collegiate taper last year that could turn some heads. Zach Woods, for one, threw down a pretty good 200 back right before the season was cancelled.

Collier is a nasty 200 IMer, he is actually the second fastest guy returning nationally this year, behind Westby
