I’m gonna have to guess someone was looking at the 06 results.
2 questions:
1) Does anyone have splits?2) Why didn’t Emory swim an 800 FR? They looked AMAZING in the 1650.

Member1. I don’t have splits, but the Denison varsity record is currently listed as 1:37.98, and Curtis is listed as the lead off leg, so I don’t think we are talking about last years swim.
2. I would guess that Emory didn’t do the 800 FRs because half the people they would have put on the relay had just swam a mile.

MemberYeah I thought at first that I was looking at last years results, but you see that Geissinger split 1:38.5 on the end. Great morning swim for him at 1:39.6

MemberTwo observations:
I bet Emory practices are really something to watch. They have so many guys who are so close to one another in speed, seeing them race through a lactate set would be pretty dramatic.
2 guys going 1:38? Really? WOW. Speaking of guys who would be fun to see going head to head. But my Denison comment is actually – what are the people that are lower on the depth chart doing? They don’t seem to be dropping nearly as much. Could it be that the top guys are really resting, getting their cuts not to come down till nationals, where as the other people just came down a little bit? Or maybe they are just not hitting their tapers…

MemberAnother WOW. Bringing home the 400MR Geissinger goes out in a 21.2 and brings it back in a 22.7, for a 43.9. A 1.5 second split difference with a relay start!?!
