MemberBut can he content for SOTM?
Wouldn’t that mean beating Nelson in the 100 fly? Is that possible? Have you seen Nelson swim that race, it is all him. And goodness knows that Stewart can’t win the 200 free (okay, that is an inflammatory statement, but the 200 free is going to be a heck of a race). -

Really, you think so? Personaly I see that as a better chance for him to win a third event than in the 100 fly. He has been as fast as he would need to go to win the 200 (1:41.mid in prelims at nattys last year) but would still need to drop 1-1.5 seconds to win the fly. I donno thats just my two cents.

MemberI agree with Eladron.
Correct me if I am wrong, but Stewart did have the fasted 200 free time last year. I believe his split at nationals was fast enough to beat Hanson at conference. In fact, Stewart is the current 200 free record holder at GAC (1:41.62) and has a faster time this year than everyone except Koch. So obviously he has a chance to win it if he swims it.
However, it still might be better points wise for GAC to have him swim the 100 fly instead considering who else they have seated in the 200 free. -
