Just a few comments about the Longnecker meet.
Kaitlyn Orstein is certainly swimming quite an interesting double on the second day, 1650 + 100. I don’t think that’s been tried recently. I suspect she’ll win both.
Without CMU’s presence, the meet will most likely take on a different character. Looks like the GCC men and W&J women will easily dominate, although it appears that Hiram College is stronger going in than in previous years.
While I’m still at the keyboard, it should be worthwhile to note about this weekend’s national meet in Atlanta. Caleb, in believe, will be at a full taper. It should be interesting to see how his times compare to what he has done in college, sort of as a gauge as how his intense training is progressing toward Olympic Trials.

As for Orstein’s odd double, it makes perfect sense: she doesn’t have the pool records in those events yet………… In all seriousness, I agree it’s an unusual combination and I too think she’ll win both handily.
I suspect the overall meet speed will be down from last year; balki was just a year early in his assessment. At Wooster, it’ll be interesting to see how much time Westminster drops from what has been a generally mediocre performance thus far. And there will be drops. Lots of them.

Again, that’s the plan. If you’re lucky, you’ll only get one event posted from last year’s meet. 😆 The video coverage, however, will NOT be provided by me. The college, with Michael Montgomery’s assistance, is running that end of things. If it tests well, they’ll be running it again at PACs.
