MemberI went back and looked at old posts about why Kzoo would not win the 200 free relay and all of them had Bazzel in the 21 low range. I think that assessment is pretty accurate, though that is because he will be leading off the relay. 21 low lead off and 3 guys who all split under 21. This is going to be a good race with Hope. I will put the spread at Hope -.29. Any takers???

MemberSo you are saying you see Kalamazoo in the 1:23.8-1:24.0 range? You might be right. I think Hope beats them by a smidge but not much more.

Is a smidge greater than or less than .29? That’s the real question.
K, should be able to do the following:
Bazzel 21.35 (he is slightly faster than Ellis was at this point last year)
Ellis 20.65 (last year split)
Greiner 20.89 (last year split)
Fleming 20.89 (estimate)
= 1:23.78Based on how Hope swam last year, how they did at midseason, and my own subjective opinions, I see them faster than 1:23.49, so I will say Greater Than and take the Over.

MemberCheadle,
This is the second time you brought this up, I’m surprised the Hope Alum haven’t hired a hitman to take you out for such blasphemy. (yes I’m tipping you off, be careful.)
But seriously everytime I come on here there is something new about (or in my case scary) kzoo, and as much as I don’t want to believe it (especially the latest on the 200 FR) I can’t deny the truth. That 2 free is going to be fast, I can’t deny them going a 23 high. I know look it up, I know it wasn’t that long ago I said something like 24 mid or low I don’t remember, but the proof is right in front of me, can they do it at the league meet, and does the Hope sprint relay have to worry? A while a go I would have said no, now I say a little, just enough to go 23 low. ๐

That is exactly the way I feel. Just go a 1:23, make a natioanls relay, have more guys at the meet. I assume one guy will be on this relay who will not be on their 400 Free Relay so this relay means a nationals spot to atleast one guy.
Oh, but the streak does end next year. I am 99.8% sure at this point. Don’t ask, because I won’t tell. -

1:23.xx does not a nationals relay make, necessarily at least. I don’t remember the last-time-taken last year but it must’ve been in the 1:23.6 range.

Yeah I should have specified: Hope: go a 1:23 low, win the race and bring a relay to nationals.
