Keller back to USC

  I’m kind of surprised that no one has posted about this yet. Klete Keller is going back to school at USC to study and train under Dave Salo in preparation for trials. I’m wondering if he and Bowman had a fight after Worlds or if he’s just too worn out from training with Phelps, Vendt, PVK and Tarwater on a daily basis. Whatever’s going on, I guess he needed a change of scenery.

  he did have some sub-average swims (for himself) at Worlds
  except for the WR
  
  He’s been in AA, for what, three years now?
  Maybe he misses the sun
  
  though I can’t help but think about Rhi Jeffery leaving salo… not sure there is much in common

  Yeah it is kind of surprising. He left Schubert to go train at Club Wolverine, and now he is making a move back to a guy that is more known for his interesting work with Sprinters. I wish him the best.

  Keller did go to swim for Urbanachek and not Bowman. Perhaps he just does not believe Bowman’s training philosphy works best for him. Or he just wants to finish school at the same place he started?

  Maybe he wants to finish school and he didn’t get in to Michigan.
