And this Saturday, the mighty Generals will once more dive into the waters of battle against a seemingly-invincible opponent, as they travel south to Blacksburg to take on their I-81 rivals, the Hokies of the Virginia Polytechnical Institute, as well as their cross-town rivals, the Keydets of the Virginia Military Institute, in a cross-divisional, regular season-concluding, double dual meet.
Okay, “I-81 rivals” is a bit of a stretch, considering those two teams haven’t faced off in something like 30 years. But it’ll definitely be a good test. And it’s always fun to swim VMI.
