MemberI guess the only real d1 blue chipper still considering a d3 school would be Geissinger. Any word on his visits? Leaning one way or another?

MemberGeissinger did sign with Virginia.
Are you sure on a full ride for Feigen? Last I had talked with Eddie Reese, he didn’t give those out except in extreme cases.

I agree with Silent P. When I taked to Eddie Reese and asked him how he got so many good swimmer with so few scholarships he said he does not give scholarships based on how fast they are, but rather finacial need.

MemberFeigen really doesn’t have much financial need. He is an amzing swimmer who works out very little – could be very good in 200 with some work and training with some big horses. He is skinny and could use some muscle which he will get. He is a risk though becasue of his attitude but the upside is huge, maybe eddie didn’t want to let this one get out of his backyard. It will be interesting to see how Jimmy progresses, it will be polar though either star or may go like taylor clark to DIII in his later years.

MemberSwimming world magazine is reporting that he committed to Virginia. Does anyone have any idea how they come up with the names for this list? Are these kids sending in their info, or is it coaches reporting?

Its all an ACT
MemberIt would have to be the swimmer reporting, family, friends, or their high school coach. College coaches are not allowed to comment on recuits until they sign their letters of intent.

MemberOk, here’s anothing question. On there someone has committed to Princeton, another person to Savannah College of Art and Design (which I am assuming is Division 3). Can you really commit to an Ivy League or Division 3 school when no one has been admitted to those schools yet?

You can “commit” all you want. Until a person has signed an NLI to a school that can give grant in aid (this exempts D3 and Ivy League schools) they are free to change their mind. For most D3 schools they won’t release an official roster till after the school year has started because it is only then that their athletic eligibility clock has started.
