MemberLook for that 200 IM to be a little more lopsided towards the oles. They sneak 4 or 5 into the top eight. Also, watch out for Koch in the 50. Word on the street is he’s been flying in practice. This kid is too good to get third.

Memberso why did you improve some peoples places from the psych sheet (hanson and kruesi in the 500 and hagemeyer in the 50 to name a few) and not others. Seems like the purpose of scoring out the meet based on the psych sheet would be well scoring out the meet based on the psych sheet, not guessing who will drop time and move up. Unless you know about faster times they have swam this season but are not seeded at for conference

Who said that I scored it out based on the psych sheet? I’m doing over/unders for the meet in order to take bets. The psych sheet is a big part of the equation, but not the whole formula. Will Kruisi is the best taper swimmer in the MIAC, it would be silly for me to keep him at his psych sheet place.

If that is the case, then Olaf has the upper hand in the meet.

MemberI’ve got it 241-246 in favor of Olaf after Day one. That includes both relays and diving. Of course I was a Religion major, so my math may be off 🙂
I believe that 10 Gusties swam on the first day versus 12 for the Oles. I think the meet will be very close, but the Gusties are right where they should be heading into the first night of finals.

My fault. It should be GAC 224, OLAF 202. No diving in these scores.

MemberI’m sure most people at the meet are now at the bar… but I’ll give my 2 cents.
I don’t think the current score bodes well for GAC… diving will kill GAC.
Matt Stewart is making a STRONG case for swimmer of the meet. Wow.
Obviously Westby is awesome… is he tapered? Shaved? Someone check his chest hair. Does he have womb broom under the chin?
Hagemeyer still’s got it.
Ben Wareham’s 55.86 breast in the 400 med is up there with Stewart’s 500 and Westby’s IM I think for best swims of the day. I’m excited to see what him and Westby put up in the open.
I wish I was there. Buy assistant to the head coach Hagen and assistant to the assistant head coach Whyte a beer for me… and Jon and Heidi I suppose.
Closed circuit to the Fantasy Mac of the MIAC league… my mom ran into Bob and Dave Hauck yesterday and brought up our fantasy league… neither Bob nor Dave had a clue what she was talking about. Guess they don’t read D3swimming.

I would assume so as well.

This is true, but it has always killed GAC. The GAC divers seem to be better on the 3m anyhow, so that could help them. As far as days 2 and 3 go, day 2 belongs to Olaf and will be up to GAC to make a move. Any spot they move up here is fantastic, any spot they move down is deadly. Day 3 belongs to GAC and will be where they win the meet from behind if necessary. Hopefully, they won’t have to win from behind but it would make the meet a ton of fun to watch.

If he keeps swimming like this, it’s his. Westby is also making a good run at it. Hagemeyer has 1 title under his belt and appears to be back in good form, could he be a contender?

I doubt anyone will be able to find this out. Those in the know are at the meet and most likely not on the d3 forum.

Indeed. 20.69 A-cut in the 50 open, 19.87 split on the 200 FR, and a 44.96 anchor on the 400 MR. Hope his backstroke is clicking too. Love to see the guy go 50. again. Maybe even a 49 something to really tickle my fancy? Didn’t look like a strong backstroke class from the 400 MR, but that’s not the majority of the field.

It was frickin’ incredible. Amazing split. Westby’s 48.87 fly split on the same relay shouldn’t be overlooked either.

We miss you to, Chapel Partner.

Not surprising. The Hauck’s are busy enough with the team and the kids/grandkids to be on d3 swimming. Plus, as I mentioned earlier I doubt that a coach should be on here anyhow. That could only lead to trouble in my mind.
