MemberI know this was posted in the collegeswimming website, and it dealt with biggest upsets in swimming history. So lets make things even more difficult, have their been any significant upsets in CCIW history. Probably a tough subject, but it might be fun.

MemberI don’t know if you call it an “upset” but Paul Fuener (sp?) touched out Dan Lloyd in 1998 in the 200 Freestyle keeping him from getting the 200-500-1650 sweep

MemberOh I would call that a bit of an upset. That was a really well split race for Fuener. It was a pretty close race if I remember it correctly. That was Lloyd’s freshmen year too.

MemberYeah I would call that a bit of an upset also. What were the final times on that one Sam 21.07 to 21.09 or something pretty similar? Matt Simcock was actuallly the number 1 seed going into the final that year.

Yeah, Dave, Danny, Mark and I offered to “rough you up a bit” after that race, but your brother said he was happy for you… Go figure. : )

MemberWas Simcock really 20.9 I thought he was 21.0, but you might be right. Either way one of the fastest top 3 in our conf in that event.
