MemberDon’t forget Davis Zarins…
We’ll see if Duda is anywhere near Rick Gjertsen’s prediction that he’ll final at the Olympics. I’m guessing he doesn’t break 51scy in the fly. -

isn’t this illegal by that USA swimming rule, where they said college swimmers couldn’t compete against high school swimmers, while both are currently enrolled in school? I may be misinterpreting it, and they may have changed the interpretation, but I definitely remember something on collegeswimming.com discussing this last spring

MemberThey said that the rule doesn’t apply to swimming because of the nightmare it would be to coordinate summer meets etc. Yes it was on collegeswimming, not it doesn’t affect this or any other meet.

MemberAnyone know what Phelps went in the 200 IM?? only the relays are loading for me right now. I heard from someone at the meet he set a new WR, but they didn’t give me the time.

MemberWhat’s the point of this meet? Seems like sort of an invitational meet. No top college swimmers, not very many other people, EXCEPT for Zarins and Duda. All-American meet? Who got invites? Doesn’t look like many people swam at night. Was this just an opportunity for early-season swims LC?

I knew he said it somewhere. Now I am sure that Balki was sarcastic in his comment on the new Duda topic
