On the three national records at one time front, I believe Amherst’s Brittany Sasser held three national records at one time — at least for one heat. If memory serves, Sasser held the 100 and 200 backstroke records during most if not all of her four year D-III reign, including going into the 2008 nationals. At the 2008 nationals in Miami, on the first day, Sasser and Kaitlyn (sp?) Ornstein had an amazing duel in the 200 IM in prelims, with Sasser breaking the record in one heat, followed by Ornstein breaking Sasser’s record in the next. That night, both of them again went under the record, with Ornstein barely out-touching Sasser. Sasser broke both of her own backstroke records in Miami as well. In any event, as fleeting as it may have been, add Sasser to the list.
