Here we go! Bring it on NWC and dream of being as active and relevant as those current and former swimmers of the MIAC and MIAA.

But those of us not in the NW would like to share your excitement - post some details, races to watch, bubble swimmers, team hijinks. Conference records going down? How about a prediction about relays making it to Tennessee?
Once a competitive swimmer, you can become anything.

You have been called out Mr. Pirate! Predictions......I'd like to see some friendly banter here, but I do not think the head coaches should be making too many bold predictions....ahhh, why not??!! Whitworth will qualify their men's 800 Free Relay, and the 400 Medley. Others will be close but just off. Puget Sound men will get very close in the 800 FR. These are not exactly bold I guess. More on the women later......or Steve, you take that one on.

The women's meet will be exciting. In particular, I think Rachael Cazden from Lewis & Clark will have a great shot at making NCAA's in the 100 back or sprint freestyles (:58 in the 100 back so far and 24 low in the 50), Tracy Wormwood from UPS has a good shot at punching a ticket to NCAA's in the breaststrokes (1:06 & 2:24 so far this season) as does Kate Duval from Whitworth in the 200 back (2:05). Whitworth women's 800 free relay has a shot at requalifying for the meet this March as well. (7:47 so far) These are just a few to look forward to as there are a number of others that could return to NCAA's or make it for the first time (Rachel Mendelsohn-100fly UPS,Ashley Lecoq-100fly Whitworth, Christine Dehaven-dist. events Whitworth, Jennifer Benson-sprint free Whitworth, Caitlin Fuller UPS 200fly or 500free, Mackenzie Kitson 100-200back UPS, Abby Pavelko 400IM & dist. events Whitworth. UPS relays will be strong as always...

Both PLU and UPS are squaring off in a 16 event format this weekend as is Whitman and Whitworth. It should give us a hint on what to expect for lineups at conference championships.
