Class of 2024

Two top tier early pickups for the Ephs- highlighted by Alex Atherton coming in at 1:41/4:28/15:48. The best middle distance program in the country gets better.

Zach Houlton a great recruit in and of himself, with a 1:43/4:37 as a junior. In an interesting turn of events, it appears that Eli Houlton, who I believe to be related based on hometown (twin brother?) is headed to tufts- slightly worse bargain (sorry 'Bos), but still a solid pickup @ 1:44/4:44.

Also in for the Jumbos- All good contributors that could shape up into NESCAC A/B borderline finishers:
- Edwin Liang-Gilman: 154/400 IM
- Sean Carr: 1:43/ 51,1:52 back
- Joshua Huang: 23.9/50/1:53, 51 fly, 1:52 IM

Atherton dropped from a 4:34 (or something like that) to 4:28 on the day that ED letters came out - a nice win for both him and the school's swim program.

As for the others, from what I have seen, the league has gotten to the point where those times may not make the B heat. Its getting pretty fast out there . . .

Another big one for the Ephs in class of 2024- one of their faster recruits in recent memory?

Noah Labich-
21.9/47.2/1:41 (relay split)
22.7/49.1 (48.3 relay split): 1:48.0 butterfly
1:51/ 3:58 IM

That’s top 3 finishes at NESCACs in 4 events if I did my math correctly, plus heavy relay duty opportunities. That 1:48.0 should be good for an all American finish at NCAAs as well. Perhaps most excitingly, going into last weekend his best 200 fly was a 1:55, plus that’s a full second in the 100 fly, 2 in the 2 IM, and 6 in the 4IM

If he continues to drop time at this rate by next year he’ll have the d3 record. In two years he’ll have eclipsed Conger, and by the time he graduated in five years time he will be approaching the minute barrier.
