2008 NCAA D3Swimming.com Recruit Class Rankings

So maybe what you want to say (about swimming) doesn't quite fit into one of our other categories. This is the place for you.

I wonder how much of it is recognizing people "trending up" vs. good coaching and improvement once they got to school...

I would assume there are other frosh doing well, but as usual I am just too lazy to look.

I think we might have missed a pretty good class at CMS. I don't know what these guys were coming in, but they look pretty solid right now.

Austin Hallett - 200 Fr 1:42.20, 400 IM 4:08.25, 200 Bk 1:54.00, 200 IM 1:53.95
Vincent Pai - 100 Br 56.52, 200 Br 2:02.68
Vince Schiavoni - 100 Br 57.13
Brendan Huss - 100 Fl 51.62, 200 Fl 1:55.61
Brant Kersten - 1650 16:29.35
Jeff McNerney - 50 Fr 21.56

Vincent I'm guessing is Dickson's younger brother? He is clearly a stud, but that is a freshmen group that 90% of DIII programs would be really happy with. They might not tear up nationals this year, but every single one of them is in a good position to make it on their own next year. Great class to build a top 10 program on.

99 - Vincent Pai is not related to Dickson Fai.

But yeah, CMS has a real solid group there, they had a really strong conference meet. Also if I remember correctly I think Hallett time trialed a 50 point in the 100 fly.

Is he related to Chris Pai at all? that guy was pretty good.

So not only a very good class but also some great improvements

Kersten swam a 1:55.4 in the 200 fly during the prelims but the finals were swum in the same session as the mile.
