Sorry - I saw 900 total students and couldn't believe they were D1 - but they are. I removed them from the list above.

Going into today's finals and next week's guys meets it is kind of amazing that only the 4MR (17) and 2MR (16) have 16 B-cut qualifiers. There are 15 2FR, 13 8FR and only 11 4FR under the B-cuts.

I don't know who exactly for the guys is swimming tonight (I thought only girls meets were still running with teams pushing for cuts), but I think of the above, there could actually be a chance that there are exactly 16 teams with B-cuts in the 400 FR and 800 FR.

From the NESCAC meet alone next weekend we should see B-cuts from the Williams, Amherst, Conn, and Tufts in the 400 FR, with Middlebury likely getting one as well. MIT already has one from the NEWMAC meet, and it would be hard for Coast Guard or Springfield to get one based on where they're at. I don't know much about SCIAC, but Redlands could get one as well. But that's all I see getting the B-cut in the 400.

As for the 800, that will be even harder to make. From NESCAC I could see only Williams and Amherst getting the cut, since it's traditionally a slower relay than the sprints. MIT doesn't have a B-cut yet, but I would be hard pressed to say they won't get one, unless their guys who have relatively safe cuts don't taper, but I don't see that happening. Again, I don't know much about the other meets, but it is possible that only 16 or 17 teams get their cuts. But MITs agg should do it. So I see those three getting it, and maybe a 4th or 5th somewhere, but from where I don't know.

The 200 FR will be stock full of cuts, so I have no worries there. At the NESCAC meet, easily 5 teams get cuts, and maybe more. And that's the number we're looking for plus some.

At SCIACs, CMS went a 323 medley and Redlands went a 325, both of which look good to go. CMS girls went a 13491 and 349 in the two relays today, both of which are easily good.
