I was out drinking away my horrible college basketball picks... DAMN YOU WAKE FOREST!

Oh, and Beyer is just plain ridiculous.

Don't know if he letup at the end or died but this should be a great race with Westby and the Russian tonight. Maybe Rocky found his Apollo to help him take down Drago!
Jim Halpert: One day Michael came in, complaining about a speed bump, on the highway... I wonder who he ran over then.

When he goes 43.46, he gets my congratulations. : D

No, seriously, it was a good swim. But 43.47 is still the mark.

Looks like Emory is pretty safe for the 2nd spot. How did they put a 4free relay together and where did Paul Weinstein come from?? 15:50 at conference to 15:27...wow

Well, I'm assume that like the rest of the team, he hasn't tapered since December (I could be wrong, I didn't check). He dropped 8 seconds in the 500 on Wednesday, so its not too surprising, but impressive nonetheless!

And if Beyer breaks Josh Boss's record I would say he's a shoo-in for Swimmer of the Meet.

I would put in an obviously biased but justifiable vote for John Thomas if he wins the 2Back tonight. 2 Meet records and carrying 5 relays for Hopkins. Plus no one has been close to him all meet.
I might be old and retired, but I could still swim a mean 25 Breaststroke if I got a relay start.

Did anybody else see the UC Santa Cruz suits for the 400 Free Relay?

@99red, the ucsc banana slugs were out in force. By that I mean sported on the front of the white speedos worn by the tan men from california. I was right there. I couldn't believe it. But then they went 6 seconds slower than prelims. Ouch. Maybe the suits do work.

Those suits were freaking awesome, they could have gone 30 seconds slower for all I cared. Well done Slugs!

Congrats to John Thomas- 2009 Mens swimmer of the meet. 2 national records and he had great relay swims. Well done. Great way to come back from a rough first year and a tough loss in the 100 last year.

Also, speaking of coming back from adversity, congrats to John Geissinger on a great last 2 days of the meet. I am sure he was disappointed in the first 2 days, but to come back with a great relay 200, a PR 100 and then a 42.85 100 in the relay is just great to see. I love seeing guys who step up for their teams and swim their best on relays, far beyond their individual abilities. Especially when they had a rough meet earlier and could have easily given up. Congrats to him.

And he did it from lane 8! I was watching the webcast and could see the wake he hit on the start and the turn off the 50. That was a great swim.

I would like to extend a large thank you to all involved in the webcast! For those of us who couldn't be there, it was nice to be able to watch the meet and not just read about it.
