I might be old and retired, but I could still swim a mean 25 Breaststroke if I got a relay start.

Hey congrats on the engagement. That is awesome. Higgins 1:40.7 is my call in the 200 tomorrow.

Yeah I am guessing we would have seen Harris go about 20.8 in the 50 flat start.

Irgens for KC will not be on 5 relays. He is not faster than anybody who was on the relay this morning. There must be another reason. I am excited to see what that kid does in the backstroke though.

How? Anybody know? That could be a big blow, but could also fire people up a little for the rest of the meet (both KC and non, for various reasons).

That does open the door for other teams. If Denison were to win that relay, and I am not sure they have enough, but that could be an 80 point swing in one event.

Won't Know

Post by PioneerSwimming » Thu Mar 15, 2007 12:42 pm

We probably won't know for a bit, until all the heats have gone. Usually the full results with splits include the take-off splits. However, with 3 teams called in one heat, could be electrical malfunction. Hard to believe three teams all jumped. Besides, isn't there a back-up of relay panel judges? Wasn't somethign overturned last week? At SEC's here at UK, several DQ's were overruled. If they are using Daktronics, that could be the problem....

malfunction

Post by PioneerSwimming » Thu Mar 15, 2007 12:51 pm

That was my thought: FIVE relays get called, and one in the first relay event.

On another note: ZARINS, 55.11 and the flier 48.0

This will be cleared up soon.

more dqs in the medley than the 200free relay seems odd....we'll just have to wait and see if anything changes
