I am excited to see what Wheaton will do. They seem to be training at a more intense level. I hope it translates to big swims. I think it would be cool to see them nudge their 200 Medley onto the National scene. I guess it depends on Hoffer, he has been a little all over the place this year. He swims well and maybe we are talking. I have a feeling thins Gallagher kid is going to go crazy at this meet.

Two weeks.... Wow!

Hoffer has been nothing but all over the place both this and last year... who knows what he will go. One week he goes 54, the next, 58.

Do you think Nitz can drop a split fast enough too? The last half of the relay with Gallegher and Linn has what it takes, but the front half definitely hasn't proven that they can make the cut. I think Hoffer has been 24.6, not bad.

Forgetting nats, I just hope they swim a whole lot of PR's. : )

Yeah I wish them all the best, if they go 24.5, 26.5, 22.2. 20.1 they will be right there I would there. That is 1:33.3. It might be close but they all have to get after it at the same time.

On the Carthage front. I heard that Pelka was out of the country for a few weeks, what kind of an impact does that have on him?

I think Carthage will be allright. At Chicago and Wheaton last week Schneider and Busse had solid swims in the 1650, plus Pelka's a competitor, he'll come through.

Yeah I agree the new distance guys at Carthage have been solid all year. I look for those guys to have huge meets.

What effect does Rose-Hulman have on the CCIW if any at all??

I see they have a good butterflier and a couple of good sprinters...Anyone know about there distance kids?

Their womens team seems small but they look to have a good swimmer or two.

Just wondering if this is a team that can cause some changes in some events....?

i am calling it right now that ben rock gets both of his national cuts. he had a great sophomore year, but was sick with bronchitis last year. 57 mid to high and 206 should both make it

57 mid and 2:06? That is pretty quick. Does IWU usually have sick tapers yes, but I am not sure about those times.

Nitz dropped a 2 second PR in the 200IM. His 50 br leg was .57 faster than at Wheaton Invite... That is a good sign for the team, and in particular for the 200 Medley Relay...

A huge congratulations to Sue Nutty. Amanda Croix 23.9 in the 50, and a trip to the big dance. Awesome.

Yes, a hearty congratulations to Coach Nutty and Amanda, but one must also recognize assistant coach Dani Korman who has been working with the sprinters all season long. Job well done coach!

1:23.5 for the Carthage 200 FR, that is going to be damn close. What a night for Davis. 20.8 is a huge drop.

What a great meet. Davis and Pelka were incredible as well as Schnack! The meet was incredible and the atmosphere was awesome. All the swimmers seemed to have a great time with the entries and the races were very spirited.

Also getting Rose-Hulman to this meet was a great decision! They definately pushed all the CCIW Schools and I am really glad Coach Caruso earned mens coach of the year; his teams including his women came and did great!

Great Job to all the swimmers and look forward to seeing some of the athletes represent the CCIW at Nationals!!
