I'm sure that there is - I just haven't had a chance to look into it yet. I will soon. Promise!

Re: MIAA Fastest Incoming Freshmen

I created a document on Google Docs and am sharing it via this address. Feel free to edit/add times. I only put places 1-3, but feel free to add more as you come across additional times.

Re: B Cuts, who has put one up?

Hey guys, sorry about that. It was comparing times to last year to make sure it wasn't already in the database. Any times that you entered where a time from that swimmer last year was faster would not appear. I did a batch change on the database so that anything for the 2008-2009 season is now liste...

And if it continues, do not hesitate to have her go to a doctor (assuming you are not a doctor - I'm not sure what you meant by health professional).

Re: MIAA Conference Meet at Notre Dame

there have been more than enough excellent swims at the HAC to defend its use as the conference pool. But not enough excellent swims to defend its use over Notre Dame. Having swam in both pools, and while I recognize the Bocephus was just looking for reactions, Notre Dame is far superior and the MI...

Re: LZR/Blueseventy

USA Swimming just passed legislation that will take effect May 2009 banning any suit that covers the neck, goes beyond the shoulder, or extends beyond the knee for all athletes competing in 12-un age group division. This means that if a 12 year old competes in an open meet, like a senior meet, they ...

Re: College Drinking

I think the point of any of these rules is that they will not be successful unless there is team buy-in and support from the coach. If the coach dictates there is no drinking, probably most of the team will drink anyway except the kid who feels a duty to tell the coach that the rest of the 20 guys o...

Re: LZR/Blueseventy

None of this rambling even makes sense. Aside from the bickering over wordage, you failed to even make a point. The suit is not a jet that shoots out of your ass so it doesn't make you go faster anyway. Just because you didn't understand it or agree with it doesn't mean there was no point. For the ...

Boy oh boy ... were you an English major? No... Political science w/ minor in econ. Go figure I'd get excited about a debate having to do with fairness, regulation, and economic forces, huh? You're trying to make a distinction that I just don't see. Did FS PRO "make" you go faster than FS II? Did L...

Re: LZR/Blueseventy

But Derek, what about my fast pool analogy. You agreed that some pools make you go faster ... right? Should fast pools be illegal? You make your NCAA cut in a fast pool. I miss my cut in a slow pool. Is that fair? I think a distinction can be made on the individual vs. group level as well as make y...

Great question. Will we see an answer besides "let the market decide"?
