Yeah, I'd say 46.83 against CMU pretty much seals it. Still a bit slow, though. :) 17 or 18 days till Longnecker mid-season meet. Watch for the big wow then.

Meets of 13 November

Wow! Westminster slaughtered Allegheny. 138-93 for the women and 148-83 for the men. With both Allegheny teams getting 26 free points for diving. Is this normal? Some decent times from both sides, although nothing spectacular that I can remember seeing. But then, I wasn't there. Another question (if...

Yeah, that's just in reference to the men's side, and it doesn't include the diver who qualified for Nats in 2002 but didn't go. The women's side had Peggy as All-American all four of her years (and national champion for three). There were also a handful of individual and relay B-cuts here and there...

Oops. Thanks for putting in his full name, Treat. My bad. As to why he chose Grove City, it wasn't for the powerhouse swimming program! Not to disparage my alma mater, but Caleb's was the first nationals cut of any kind by any GCC swimmer since 1999. He's already being referred to by some on the tea...

Re: 100 free

courage???? who is that? I hope that, come March, that question will sound ridiculously funny. I suppose this could all be a fluke, and I can't believe that he's getting killed in training like the guys at better schools. Too, I don't have a clue how well he'll taper or whether he'll keep healthy a...

100 free

Don't forget the backwater conferences. Singleton's gone from the sprint frees, but put the name Courage in (or pretty darn close to) his place. B-cut in the 100 isn't bad for a season opener.

Posted Times

Apparently W&J has now come around to using Meet Manager and has posted its first set of complete results for a dual meet. Voilà: http://www.washjeff.edu/athletics/swimming/wjmount.htm (Or, just look at them over on the "Results" section of this site.) Also, the first top-times list for the season i...

All of the teams now have their rosters for both men and women posted on their school websites (except Bethany). Looks like W&J picked up a pretty good-sized class of freshmen: 10 guys and 12 girls (which makes the girls' team ridiculously huge). Haven't looked into the names yet to know whether qua...

Kudos to Westminster for having the most up-to-date sites in the conference: http://www.westminster.edu/athletics/sports/mens_swim/mswim_home.cfm (official men's) http://www.westminster.edu/athletics/sports/womens_swim/wswim_home.cfm (official women's) http://www.westminster.edu/staff/klamutrg/swimp...

The six or seven non-PAC teams swim as part of the GCC Invitational, which is always done together with the PAC Championships. The two meets are scored as one, and the swims of non-conference teams affect the scores of PAC teams. I hope there is a separate set of scores that is based only on swims f...

Encyclopedia, here is some info to help answer your questions--maybe more than you ever wanted to know! About D12: Someone from Westminster could speak to this better than I, but, as I understand it, their men's team named themselves the Dirty Dozen because they came to PACs this year with only twel...

2004-2005 Season

Here are some general ideas to get started. Feel free to start posts on other topics besides these, too. Who's going to win PACs this year? Are the Lady Titans going to 3-peat? Will the GCC men keep the trophy or will D12 (gotta love that name) take it back? Or is W&J going to come in with the outsi...

Welcome to the online forum for PAC swimming! My name is Drew McKelvy (Grove City '04), and I'm the forum moderator. A couple of ground rules: 1. Keep it clean. No profanity in any of the posts. 2.
