Re: Live Feed?

Cheadle- his brother is also going to swim at Redlands next year. That's going to be a monster relay since he comes in with a 50 point or faster in the backstroke whereas their current guy on their relay goes a 54 to fill out a 325 medley.

Re: SCIAC 2011

Openwater- I have no idea, really. Wasn't around for that, but i'd guess that it was a miscount by his counter, which I think is a DQ. CMS showed up big at SCIACs, both men and women. Oxy's girls were also really impressive, as were Whittier's, neither of whom had really made a dent in the past but ...

Re: Men's 50

^yes. Though I didn't know he was a 49 point and 20 point at a dual meet. That's impressive.

Re: 2011 Cut Line

At SCIACs, CMS went a 323 medley and Redlands went a 325, both of which look good to go. CMS girls went a 13491 and 349 in the two relays today, both of which are easily good.

Re: 2011 Cut Line

Thanks for the good work - could you keep this updated for the other relays as the weekend progresses?

SCIAC 2011

In case anyone else is interested...not sure there's anyone else here from the conference. This should be a very close meet on the guys' side...CMS won by about 200 last year but lost quite a few freestylers from last year and Redlands has a lot more depth than last year. Redlands looks like they'll...

Re: Championship Qualification Procedures

That is correct I believe - you have to qualify your relay with your fastest four and bring that team to Nationals (unless one of the athletes gets sick or something).

Re: Relays

I'm almost sure this is correct since it was taken off the best times list and not the ncaa psych sheet.

Re: Relays

I tend to agree with you, Mom. Also if you tend to think of the distribution of the relays as sort of a bell curve (which may be specious, but whatever), there are probably more relays distributed around the 16th spot than the 10th or 11th spot. It's probably more likely, then, that one of those rel...

Re: B Cuts Too Fast

I can understand the faster individual B cuts - taking top 16 relays = more relay only swimmers = more individual swimmers = more individual heats if individual B cuts didn't get faster. But WHY ARE RELAY B CUTS FASTER?!? This year's B cuts (number of schools last year who would have made th...

Re: 3 legged ponies

For some reason I didn't see that you said it was a medley.

Anyways, I agree. Definitely the weakest leg, but still a 27 in high school isn't too shabby.

Re: 3 legged ponies

St. Xavier is a swimming powerhouse, I thought? Looks a lot more like an awesome medley relay.
