Re: Rankings are dumb
I hate rankings. I prefer just telling the Hope guys they suck and will never be as good as K guys.

Re: Hope 2 and 4 Free Relays
I miss the old days when we fought mercilessly against each other just for the sake of it.

The Daily Show did this very well: http://www.thedailyshow.com/watch/wed-f ... -snowstormquacker wrote:It must be true if it's true for me. For example: if it's cold where you are then global warming is a scientific impossibility.

Re: All-MIAA
I wasn't All-MIAA my freshman year. Coach Kent told me he wanted to put me on, but that he had to give the spot up to Hope even though I deserved it because we had too many on the list already. Maybe he was blowing smoke, but I've believed it all these years. My understanding based on that conversat...

Re: Hope 2 and 4 Free Relays
My bias against Hope is well known and documented around here and I gotta say, Nelis is really making a smart and principled decision. Props to him for sticking to his guns and doing the right thing. I really hope his teammates give him the respect he deserves for making this tough decision. Those r...

Re: Day 1 Finals
Per Milhouse's corrections, I now hate that post. I love this post more than anything else in the world right now. At the end of Day 1, here are the point changes from prelims: Total: Kzoo +5.5 (again, from prelims only, not guynumberone's predictions). After Day 1, Hope +41 (guynumberone predicted ...

Re: masters nationals in atl
I'll be there for sure. I practice at GA Tech. It's a great pool (obviously) and the meet is going to be a lot of fun. I happen to know quite a bit about bars in Atlanta and am definitely down for a bar crawl.
Colby, you live in ATL too?

Re: Swine Flu at Hope.....
Not to burst the Dutch bubble, but if a "probable" case is simply classified as Influenza A, isn't that just the regular flu? So what we should be asking is, "Why is Hope College pretending that they have Swine Flu when there is no real indication that any of these students are at risk?" They have I...

Re: University of Washington Swim Program Cut
Anyway, I can elaborate more, but what I am saying is don't blame this on the football players or the basketball players. They don't make the budget decisions and really have nothing to do with this. Ben, I think you bring up some great points about problems in our education system (I think most pe...

Re: Nationals 2010
As mentioned, the finances were not in place to have a mostly empty natatorium for every other meet we ever host. Does this mean that you charge for duel meets? Do any other teams charge for duel meets? Just wondering on this. I don't know the answer to your question (although I think the answer is...
