Re: Cauli Bedran, Head Coach -- Olivet College

His slogan should be: "Make Olivet Great Again!" Were gonna win. Were gonna win so much your're gonna be sick of winning. New recruits are pouring across the border into Calvin. Were gonna build a new pool, and believe me, Albion will pay for it. The pool just got 10 lanes wider! This season will b...

Re: Thursday Night Predictions

Kudos to Albion. They are on fire. That IM 1-2 was a shock (haven't been following this year but feels like a shock). Kalamazoo sprinting was impressive. Women's team race is insane. 262-254-253 after day 1. No clue how they stack up in huge strokes but that is an awesome team battle if it can hold....

Re: National Cuts at Midseason

Thanks for the breakdown Glitchman.. Almost wrote a post expressing my disappointment in the lack of any sort of posts, but figured it would fall on deaf ears. Gosh what a dead forum, not a single post during the main days of the meet nor any for a few days after. Lol. You 2 could always post more,...

Re: Weekend #2

Congrats to Dyl Shearer takin down a pool record in the 100 breast.. 57.89 for the first 100 breast of the season is pretty narsty. Plus good for Dyl to finally get his name up on a board. I don't know many times anymore, but what impresses me is that it didn't appear he was just having an awesome ...

Re: Division 3 vs. Division 1 Swimming

D1 programs being even with D2 and D3 in terms of drops makes their success more impressive when considering that those drops are harder to achieve, even from a percentage standpoint, because they are faster times (on average). Are you able to break it down between top tier programs and mid-major ty...

Re: Kalamazoo Pool

K lists the max attendance at 350 spectators, compared to 500 at calvin. after calvin had to turn people away at leagues this year will K even be able to host leagues when offering 150 less seats? . They will not be able to host anything bigger than a quad meet. The size decision was on purpose. [ ...

Re: Kalamazoo Pool

Ok, I think you went to the wrong place with this. Tell me how a pool with more corners, a more complicated roof line, and the same amount of lateral surface area as a rectangle is cheaper to produce? Common sense is that it is not. No reason to be an a**hole about a legitimate question. You didn't...

Re: Kalamazoo Pool

I'm not an angineer, but I'm not sure I totally agree. yes, the listed cost is quite low, which makes it a reasonable fundraising goal for a school with a relatively small endowment. I am sure that there has been a great deal of value engineering in order to get the costs that law. But I believe th...

Vega to NESCAC

http://athletics.trincoll.edu/landing/VegaHire Great hire by Trinity! I swam for Carlos for only 1 year but he really helped with my improvemtns in that year. There is a lot of work to be done there, in a difficult conference, but he can really help Trinity build that program. [ Post made via iPad ]

Re: Olivet Coach

I know nothing either but they are clearly looking for a new coach. 2 recent alums are coaching and doing really well: Kellen Beckwith is at Denison, so clearly great experience down there. He posts on here so I would be interested to hear if he is applying and if not, why not? Mike Harden is at UF....

All time Top MIAA Recruits

So, the season is over and recruiting is nearly over for this year as well. It got me wondering about the top recruits ever to come into the MIAA. It would be fun to put together a top 25 list, and then see if anyone will be added this year. A couple notes before we get started: - Times someone went...
