Re: Nats 2014

Sounds like MDswimparent, who must be a JHU parent based on previous posts, does not like to hear that D1 swimmers would choose Kenyon over somewhere like JHU because of anything more than athletics. Considering JHU and Kenyon promote two totally different kinds of undergrad experiences, I believe t...

Hats off to the Gettysburg Bullets sprint boys. Those relay squads will definitely be in the hunt for a win next year.

Re: Devon Davis

Takes more than a one hit wonder to win that Conference. Swat really doesn't have anyone who can train with Devon Davis, and he won't have any help on relays. Gettysburg should certainly hold strong for the title this year with Gould replacing Libby. That being said, this could certainly shift the 2...

Re: Prelims Day 1

19.38?! Isn't that just 0.03 off the D1 A-Cut? Just crazy [ Post made via iPad ] He'd be seeded 8th going into the d1 meet. Realistic that he continues to train for OT? We still don't know if he's going to drop something faster tonight, but that swim alone would make it seem a viable option.

Re: Post for Julie

TCNJ - I dont know his name, but I know he can coach. I swam on the same team as Myles O'Conner in HS, swam against him in college and was able to watch his progression pretty easily. He had been sitting around a 59 since he was a 14, and multiple coaches were having trouble keeping him committed to...

Re: NCAA Breakdown by Conference and Class

CC - Centennial Conference. There are also more kids from the conference in the meet than there have been in the last ... 10 years combined? Maybe the most since G-burg's run in 94. I'm sure there are similar cases across the boards.

Re: FS3

we did. it was called sizing down when you bought an FSII. though that would ultimately lead to less material around the lower core, where these suits are really pushing emphasis it seems. "oh my god pull your pants up! those look much too small for you where it matters!" -swim moms circa 2005. mayb...

Re: Gettysburg Freshmen

3 freshmen and a senior put up a 3:04.2, and a 4th frosh on the B relay went a 47. Unprecedented in CC.

Re: Gettysburg Freshmen

On a serious note, if the Gettysburg freshmen could swim as their own team at the Centennial meet in Feb, they would win a majority of the relays. A breaststroker in the class would have made it a certainty. They are already the most talented freshmen class in Gettysburg, if not centennial conferenc...

Re: 2011-21 CC Season

Gettysburg freshmen just put up a 1:25.9 in a 200 freelay. That's faster than the Gettysburg conference championship time in 2009.

2011-12 CC Season

Men's Team outlook- Gettysburg - huge class of talented freshmen, and some stepping up done by some of the upper classmen so far. Adam Taft, a Gettysburg graduate in 2011, was the only significant loss to their squad. If the rest of the year is anything like their meet against Messiah then the Bulle...

http://www.middlebury.edu/athletics/sports/swimdiving/archive/2010-2011/news/node/284784 it shall be interesting to see how he deals with the sort of stereotypical college team environment that middlebury has come to champion recently. At F&M he had a zero tolerance policy on that type of social beh...

Matt Libby made the jump from NJCAA to D3 (though Indian Rivers a very particular situation to begin with).
