Re: TRUE COMPARISON!

Our sprinters did not drop any significant time with the new suits. Either way, I do not think tyhat it was too much different from wearing a Pro. Just because your sprinters did not swim faster does not mean the suits aren't significantly faster. Your sprinters could have had a crappy taper and th...

200 im - probably won't get broken for awhile 200 fly - probably won't get broken for awhile 100 fly - probably will get broken before the other 2?! If you're referencing the women I might agree, subject to one big caveat. Specifically, I stongly suspect that Todhunter will break her own 100/200 fl...

Re: Day 3 Comments

Maybe some of you alums should take a week off between conference and nats and then try to swim faster? Ellis has really bad bronchitis and the week after conference, he was coughing up blood at practice. So all of you can :) off. How many of you held a national record? I haven't commented on Ellis...

Re: Day 3 Comments

Didn't Westbii fade a bit as the meet went on last year? Now, 54.4 can't be considered a choke but I think you could see it coming. I had a hunch he wouldn't win after the 200 medley relay. Though I have no proof of it, I actually thought Drago would go 54.3 and Westbii would go 54.4. Hopefully he ...

I am the first to congratulate Courage on the new 100 free record the hardest in the book? What is everyone else at the meet? I was out drinking away my horrible college basketball picks... DAMN YOU WAKE FOREST! Oh, and Beyer is just plain ridiculous. http://www.ncaaresults.com/090318P037.htm...

Re: Day 3 Comments

should have posted this yesterday but I was suprised that Yamada wasn't swimming breast last night in Emory's relay... Tell me about it. I'm scrounging around to find a decent 50 breaststroke split for my fantasy team and Emory puts Mason White instead of my boy Yamada on both medleys. Even after Y...

Re: Day 3 Comments

That's high comedy. I think my fastest 100 back was a 57. Seriously. Maybe if I swam it more/practiced it I could get it to under 55, but my backstroke was horrible . If I had a decent backstroke I would have done more IM. I swam the 100/200 breast my first year at NCAA's. I just hated training bre...

Re: Day 3 Comments

Did Treat ever swim a 100 back? I felt like he had to at some point for relays or something.. could be getting him and Leckey confused. I know he had to swim some breaststroke. I'd argue that a 44 mid freestyler could break 50.2 backstroking though, with a Blue70. Treat is an honest guy: so out wit...

I don't think I'll be going to hear Rattle 'n' Hum on April the whatever-it-is. Then again, maybe he was just having a bad day. I don't think I could run this fast. 1 Beyer, Alex JR Washington Univ 3:53.63 3:51.45 24.63 27.72 30.03 29.28 32.75 33.35 27.38 26.31 http://www.ncaaresults.com/090318F013...

Quote from an article about University of Wisconsin swimmers wearing the BlueSeventy Nero "the nero suit claimed five world records in the pool in November alone and is designed to be more durable and offer more flotation than the rival product from Speedo." Re: UAA's

Looks like Leckey/Chao both might have a shot in the 50/100 at Lardiere. ALso Beyer's 1:38 makes a WashU sweep of the sprint frees very feasible. That is, if they all re-taper for UAAs and not swim through to NCAAs. They won't retaper for UAA's. In a way that's ashame. They'd be great races to watc...
