An Ode to K’s Natatorium

Postby RollTide » Wed Oct 31, 2018 8:10 am

As most of the forum is aware, K’s Natatorium has only one meet remaining and that’s in February against Hope. What I thought I would do is create a megathread for members of the forum to share their fondest memories(good or bad) of the Natatorium as a way to properly honor the Kalamazoo College Natatorium in its final hurrah.

Homecoming 3 years ago?
Jumping off the 3 meter and tearing the flag pole out of the deck.
But it's fine. I've done my time.

Polar Bear used to date a Hornet back in the day and had some discussions with the development office about that new pool -- did they go with that weird "L" design? Didn't make a whole lot of sense to me or save much $ either.

Will the Tub be salvaged?
Dude, I said 20 point and they didn't even flinch. Phelps changed everything.

Rumor is that the "tub" will be the cornerstone of the new men's varsity locker room. It's original finish will be kept, so all the "energy" of swimmers and divers from the past can stay in the new facility with the team.
