How well with the MIT men do at Nationals this year? They are better than any NESCAC men's team this year.

Had an OK Day 1 at NEWMAC Champs. 2FRR and 4MedR are definite invites plus 2 non-scoring 50 Free B-cuts and a 500 B-cut.

The 400 Medley Relay will also make it. I think MIT will have 7-8 swimmers at Minneapolis. This is a program on the rise.

I figure them for 8 swimmers but don't think they can score more points than Amherst. Like Tufts, a fine dual meet team but not yet there on the big stage - not enough high end swimmers - tremendous breaststroker.

Although Mit easily handled Amherst in their dual meet this year, I agree with you that Amherst will top MIT at the NCAA's. Both will get three relay team invites, but Amherst has more "A" individual invites, stronger "B" cut relay-only inviites and the returning national champion in both diving events.

MIT leads Amherst by a point at the end of Day 1. Will they keep the lead after Day 2?

Amherst has a 9 point lead on MIT after Day 2. The 100 breast [Racz]will be a good event for MIT; the 800 Free Relay will be a good event for Amherst. Amherst should still be in the lead after Day 3.
