I drafted one of your swimmers, Donish, Robert for my fantasy team. Did you see how he brought home that 200 IM at conference? Man that guy would be great on the 800 free relay. Thanks.
Thank you Mario! But our princess is in another castle!

Cheadle, Unless you were there to see it, i wouldnt be to sure about that. He is a giant age-grouper, his strokes still need a bunch of work.

Anyways, since we did get all of our swimmers on the 8FR in, i doubt that the order will change, but if Ben Gensler wasnt picked, i woudl look for him to improve on his time, as he wont be swimming the 400 Twice that day.

Also look for Alex Anderson to dominate the field in all of his events. :D

Gensler is going the 100 breast correct? After that 2:03.9, i have to believe he could pop a good 100 as well. Stevens point is going to surprise a few people this year.

That is correct, he is in the 100 Breast.
I hope he does have a good race, but however, I do not think he has the top end speed that is needed in the 100. I think his fastest time in the 100 this year came in the first 100 of his 200. His endurance breaststroke is amazing. If there were a 400 Breaststroke, he would have a good chance of winning it.

Yeah I like his stroke a lot, because technically it is really good, but he does not have a ton of flat speed, and you need to have that in order to make noise at the dance, that being said I would still think we could see 58 mid to low out of him.

Can Anderson put it togeather his last year?

Post by brestschamp06 » Mon Mar 13, 2006 8:47 pm

From what I have seen over the years Anderson has not lived up to his potential. From what I have herd from his team mates he slacks most of the time. If that kid would work harder during the year he would have been the 100 brest NCAA champ the last 2 years. His time drops from Weaton to nats have not been that great over the years. He is a really good early season swimmer for sure. We will see in a few days if he can put it togeather this year?

UWSP will miss Anderson next year no matter how he does at nationals

it's not very easy losing a 55 breast split on a 400 med relay, that will hurt

Anderson may not be the best workout swimmer but he's always been there when Point has needed him. It's nice to be able to count on 2 or 3 individual wins in a dual meet every weekend. Being able to switch someone who is so versatile into an event and count on a win is just a peace of mind that you like to have with a team.

Losing Anderson will not be easy, plus he's a pretty decent teammate

Come on Swimhottie, not everyone can be a workout warrior. Didn't Red leave my book around??? '1001 Ways to Get Out of Practice"

It might be around in that box Al calls an office... It will be in the process of getting cleaned over the next... oh two months. I will stop in a time or two and see if its still around, my guess would be yes, because red left the office as it was, and Al just piles everything up in the corner.

i'm not riping on Anderson, I know we all can't be workout warriors..I'm trying to defend him. spswimmer is right about the office. It's Red's office with Red's stuff with Al's stuff piled on top. I bet that book is in there somehwere...we must find it!

I didn't think you were ripping him, was just talking about we are all a little different when it comes to working out. Red may have actually burned that book. I had a way to beat his pulse chart. Not that I was too lazy, just what sprinters do. Especially when your coach insists on training you for the 200 free.

On a seperate note, congrats to both Point teams on your showings at nationals. I luv following the meets and seeing you guys do good. Even if I have been 'retired' for 16 years.
