The Centennial Conference swimmers did great at NCAA's. All 8 Centennial Conference swimmers who were at the meet came home with All-American honors! For McDaniel, Brad Brooks was 4th in the 1650 (All-American) and 10th in the 500 free (Honorable Mention All-American). Katie Grant from F&M was 15th in the 500 free and 13th in the 1650 both of which earned her Honorable Mention All-American Honors. The 6 Gettysburg boys finished 15th overall as a team and each one received All-American honors at the meet: Jason Potter garnered All-American honors in the 400 free relay (6th place) as well as Honorable Mention All-American honors in the 100 free (9th), 50 free (11th), 200 free relay (10th) and 800 free relay (13th), Mike Harmon received All-American honors in the 400 free relay (6th) and Honorable Mention All-American honors in the 200 free relay (10th) and the 200 back (15th), Ashton Leyens earned All-American honors for the 400 free relay (6th) and Honorable Mention All-American honors in the 200 free relay (10th) and the 800 free relay (13th), Stu Cubbison added All-American honors in the 400 free relay (6th) and Honorable Mention All-American honors in the 200 free relay (10th), and Sean Staerk and Tyler Gould each received Honorable Mention All-American status for helping the 800 free relay to a 13th place finish! Congratulations to all these swimmers and their coaches - it was a really fast meet and it is fantastic that they all earned All-American status! The best part is that none of them are seniors - Staerk is a junior while Grant, Harmon, Potter, Leyens and Cubbison are sophomores and Brooks and Gould are only freshman. The Centennial Conference will really be a force to be reckoned with over the next few years!!!
