Re: Recruiting '20

Now that I have time, I'm going to follow up on what Unionsteel hasn't covered yet, going team by team. Albion: Looks like they have a couple incoming divers on the women's side. The headliner is Emily Snyder who is 24.3/54.9 in the freestyles. Katie Flynn: 19:20 in the mile, 5:37 in the 500. Megan ...

Re: Recruiting '20

Comets: A girl fast enough that I thought she was a guy, kaleb bolb At this point they should change their name to the Californians because about half the team is from California now. For more definitive classes, it looks like Alma has posted their whole class on Instagram and Albion and Olivet are...

Re: Natatorium Rankings

Kalamazoo There will always be a soft spot in my heart for K's pool. Yes I'm biased. It probably helped that even as bad as it was, it was still better than my high school's pool (our coach always used to say "it may be a shit-hole, but it's OUR shit-hole!). I can confirm this is an accurate statem...

Re: MIAA’S 2020

Really been looking forward to the banter and analysis...I am too old to do all of the statistical break-downs...so I'll leave that to the smarter folk on here. Same here Merlin. I’ve been in a holding pattern waiting for somebody to post, but it just hasn’t happened yet. Where are facenorth, the a...

MIAA’S 2020

I figure it’s time to start the thread on the MIAA Championship Meet. A couple takeaways: -Hope was on fire tonight. They probably won’t be able to maintain the depth to win(on the men’s side at least), but it’s a great sign for them that they showed some fire on night one. -Sub 1:40 splits tonight ...

Kzoo vs Alma

Despite what our senior member of the forum Skylar Fish said(he’s getting forgetful in his old age), the MIAA dual season officially concluded today with Kzoo vs Alma. Judging by the AlmaScotsSwimDive Instagram, it appears that Alma copied the Wise Owl cheer word for word and hopefully returned the ...

Re: MIAA 2020 Predictions

That Albion men’s win is a solid prediction but I think Calvin is just too deep for Albion to be taken down. It’ll come down to Calvin’s freestyle vs Albion’s everything else like usual, but Heeres and Camy essentially make up for the loss of Britton and then add extra points between the two of them...

Re: Hope v. Kzoo

Things to look out for today: -Does anyone from Kzoo recreate the “Our Water, Our Pool” incident for a third time? -Those breaststrokes might be closer than expected. Muller has been on fire lately, but French and Anger are as good a duo as any. -Frank’s Red Hot predicted Trimble vs Engle in the 100...

Re: The Disrespect

No love for Matt Howrey in the that mile? I could see Matt Howrey doing a 2/4IM and 2 breast lineup this year so I didn’t want to pencil him into that event quite yet. In a related note, K has 3 of the top 6 fastest times so far this year in the 200 breast according to collegeswimming.com although ...

Re: The Disrespect

WW just really likes that Kolton Epplett fellow. In other meets around the MIAA, congratulations to Hope for beating D2 Saginaw Valley State(absolutely no chance it happens but I’ve heard Taber is a favorite for the job. Once again, absolutely no chance it happens.). Highlights from that meet were B...

Re: Midseason meets

Sincerely, Holstege #2 Now I have to figure out if Holstege #2 means Holsteges who swam or Holsteges in general. Why you gotta do this to me Holstege #2. Unrelated note, but rumor has it that Cade Erickson is no longer attending Olivet and that Carthage was his last meet. Unsure the truth to this, ...

Re: Midseason meets

Finally, I can post again!

All I can say is that there is some major disrespect to Alma and Olivet in this post above. Not like they each had a midseason meet or anything as well.
