Re: Natatorium Rankings

get a John Patnott Natatorium drawn up The Patnottatorium. From what I hear HMS has an extensive history with digging pits so I don't think they will be short on manpower when it comes time to break the ground. Kalamazoo Stalls: D no doors, just a half wall that people can see your head poking out ...

Re: Post MIAA 2019 Discussion

Moving forward in the conversation I do want to try to acknowledge some athletes that might not always get as much attention on the forums as others for both guys and girls: Alma - senior Eric Ferrara had from what I could tell an excellent meet. Props to him for winning the B final in the 500 and m...

Re: Post MIAA 2019 Discussion

WW, I wouldn’t take it personally. To me it feels like the same kind of knee-jerk reaction that happens every year when Tom Brady and the Pats lose to a bad team early in the season. It’s the “they lost, so something MUST be wrong” mentality. Some of the points made are pretty valid though. One of t...

Re: Hope v Kzoo

What a ridiculous meet. This is what MIAA swimming is all about. Shoutout to HMS for pulling it off against KZoo in the last meet at their natatorium. I'm sure that felt good after finishing behind them in the quad meet last weekend. Looks like the rubber match will be at MIAAs. Wanna touch on a few...

Re: MIAA Recap, Grades, & NCAAs

Fish Red shirted last season. So he is eligible for another year. Does that mean he will swim? I don’t know. [ Post made via iPhone ] Legit question....How many years has he been at Calvin? He started in Fall of 2014. Is technically a senior but I believe has another year of eligibility. [ Post mad...

Re: MIAA Recap, Grades, & NCAAs

MIAA as a whole: A+ Just want to give props to everyone who followed this meet the entire way. This is undoubtedly the best D3 conference in the nation, and I don’t think any school held anything back. Looking forward to what’s to come, both in the pool and on the forums. -As1 [ Post made via iPhone...

Re: MIAAs 2018

I have calculated KZoo’s hypothetical score as 480 on the men’s side, three points behind Hope for third place. I haven’t looked at the women’s side yet but can check that out if there is interest

Re: MIAAs 2018

Actually, I was wrong on the scoring totals for some teams. The live results page listed the diving events after the 4 med, so I put the total team scores in incorrectly. Hope sits at 196 on the men's side and Albion is at 184 on the women's side, putting KZoo in fourth in both meets.

Re: MIAAs 2018

And yes, Kalamazoo acts as a "black hole" for points. If a swimmer from Kzoo wins, those 20 points just disappear--the second-place athlete does not move up and score 20.

Re: MIAAs 2018

From the live results page on the MIAA website, they're actually listing the points value for each KZoo swimmer in finals, which is very convenient. They just aren't giving a team score. From what I understand it's an "individuals can score but the team can't" kind of thing. I wonder how this affect...
