Re: 2019 NCAAs

I’ve already heard a lot of complaints about block slipperiness, particularly on the relays.

Re: Class of 2023

Especially exciting given Trunsky entered college at 15:52 or so, and Lovette at around a 16:08. Coach Kuster obviously knows how to train that event at an elite level. Plus given Trunsky’s graduation in a year, Mason will have a year to train with them before slotting right into that 1000 slot his ...

Re: Men's NESAC

@purpleandwhite- Pretty sure Mebust didn’t break the Amherst team record given that Spiro was 55.2. Also of note is that Mebust’s progression over the past 3 years actually hasn’t been as dramatic as one would expect given his enormous drops freshman year. For comparison: Freshman Year: No 50 Br Dat...

Re: Class of 2023

Bowdoin putting together an amazing class... perhaps their best ever?

Williams recruit Ev Nichol drops his 100/200 freestyle best times down from 47.5/143 to 47.2/1:41.5. Plus lowers his 100 fly down almost a second to 50.6

Re: Class of 2023

Cole Mason - Williams
4:40 - 500 free
16:06 - 1650 free
4:08 - 400 IM

Solid distance pickup for the Ephs. Should help that he'll overlap for 1/2 years with Trunsky, Lovette, Karofsky core

Re: January

Williams will destroy Amherst in the 800 freestyle relay. None of the Amherst swimmers save for Seltzer have shown that they can hit a taper in that event. Williams has 4 returning guys under 1:40, including Lovette, and awesome other fourth options in Marquardt, Pearcy, etc... [ Post made via iPhon...

January

Jamie Lovette 15:48 in the mile at a dual meet. Simply absurd.
Split 4:44/9:34 on the way out too.

Re: Williams versus Amherst Dual Meet 2019

Thanks for clearing up a lot of the misinformation in the Amherst fan post above you GoNats. Not sure why he believed the Williams men were any more rested than usual. Between Delcompare, Pearcy, Lee, Hart, Tan, and LeClerc Williams has one of the strongest 100 butterfly squads in the NESCAC. With H...

Re: Williams versus Amherst Dual Meet 2019

As Williams returns from their training trip rested and tanned and as Amherst tries to get back into the swim of things after no organized practice during exam week that just ended last Friday, thoughts turn to the upcoming dual meet between the two longtime rivals. The home team has had the decide...

Re: NESCAC Weekend 2

@swimdad don't you know that suits alone are responsible for 3+ seconds/hundred? That plus the magic MIT pool.

Re: NESCAC Weekend 2

Plus I'm the EPH fan. I don't know what you expected :D . I realize my boys are the underdogs this year, but I still believe in giving credit where credit was due. Kim and Tingen were fast. Bowen and Gu, of course, were very fast. Nothing else blew me away. I was impressed by Bedard at Bates this we...

Re: NESCAC Weekend 2

I gave credit where I thought credit was due... I'm just not sure why everyone is acting like these swims were insane. I'm seeing two legitimately good frosh, and a bunch of people who swam times (with suits and rest!) that are equal too what others are doing unsuited and unrested elsewhere in the N...

Re: NESCAC Weekend 2

Honestly, aside from Gu and Joseph Kim Tufts did not look good this weekend at all. I’m sure we’ll hear kk the excuses about 2 days rest etc but if they were wearing suits and had no rest I’d expect to see better times. Of note this weekend from Williams, freshman Aaron Stanton goes 47.1 in the 100 ...
